Reifengröße verstehen

205 Tyre width Millimetres
The nominal width of the tyre in millimetres, measured from sidewall to sidewall. A greater width usually offers more contact patch and grip.
55 Aspect ratio Percent
The height of the sidewall relative to the width – here 55 % of the width. A lower value means a flatter, sportier profile.
R Construction Radial
<strong>R</strong> stands for radial construction – today the standard for passenger-car tyres. The casing plies run radially (across the direction of travel) for comfort and a smooth ride.
16 Rim diameter Inch
The inner diameter of the tyre in inches – it must match the diameter of your rim exactly. Here 16 inches.
91 Load index Load capacity
A code for the maximum load capacity per tyre. The value 91, for example, equals 615 kg. Never use a lower index than specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
V Speed index Top speed
Indicates the maximum permitted speed. <strong>V</strong> stands for up to 240 km/h. Here too: at least the index required by the manufacturer.
